Erica Bader, Psychotherapist + Yoga Instructor

Meet Erica
Erica Bader is a licensed psychotherapist and registered yoga instructor whose work sits at the intersection of clinical therapy and mindfulness-based healing. What began as a desire to bring somatic skills into her clinical practice became a deeper calling — leading her to teach in studios, nonprofit organizations, and therapy groups, and eventually to lead teacher trainings and wellness retreats.

Early in her career, Erica worked with underserved children and families in public schools and homeless shelters, and trained with Johns Hopkins Medical Center alongside collaborative teams of medical and educational providers. These experiences shaped her belief that mindfulness-based therapy has meaningful applications across a wide range of settings and populations — from crisis intervention to private practice.

Apari Wellness is named for the yogic value of Aparigraha — a Sanskrit word and concept meaning non-attachment. It speaks to finding balance among the ebbs and flows of life, letting go of what no longer serves you, and making space for what makes you more whole. After more than a decade of doing this work, Erica has found that this concept resonates with nearly everyone, in uniquely personal ways.

Erica works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, eating disorders, and sex and intimacy concerns. She is committed to holding affirming, informed space for clients of all backgrounds and identities — showing up fully for each person who walks through the (virtual) door.
