About Apari Wellness

Apari Wellness is a Philadelphia-based mindfulness therapy practice founded by Erica Bader, LPC, RYT-500. Rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when we tend to the whole self, Apari Wellness combines evidence-based mental health therapy with yoga philosophy to support personal growth and whole-person healing for individuals and couples in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Erica's goal is simple — to help you find balance among the ebbs and flows of life, to let go of what no longer serves you, and let in what makes you more whole.

Mindfulness-based therapy uses present-moment awareness as a foundation for lasting change. By integrating mindfulness into each session, Erica helps clients throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland develop nonjudgmental thinking and self-awareness that extends into everyday life.

Mindfulness is more than deep breathing or relaxation techniques — at its core, it is the practice of releasing judgment and expectation, and redirecting attention to what truly matters. As a mindfulness-based therapist with 12 years of experience, Erica weaves this approach into evidence-based treatments for anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship issues.

Your intentions and goals will look different from the next person, so a part of my work is to help you learn about what it is you need to be your most authentic self.

Virtual Care through Video or Phone

Mindfulness-Based

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Combines the thought-awareness tools of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness practices, helping you notice and shift unhelpful thinking patterns before they take hold.

Somatic Therapy

Works with the body as much as the mind, helping you recognize and process how stress, trauma, and emotion live physically in your body — not just in your thoughts.

Internal Family Systems

An approach that helps you understand the different "parts" of yourself — including the ones that feel stuck, reactive, or self-critical — and build a more compassionate relationship with each of them.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Helps you stop fighting difficult thoughts and feelings and instead focus on building a life guided by your values — learning to hold discomfort with openness rather than avoidance.

Words to Grow By

"Honoring someone's story doesn't mean you're stuck in it."
David Kessler, grief expert and author of Finding Meaning

At Apari Wellness, we help you carry your story forward — with compassion, not weight.

How We Work Together

Discover lasting growth

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. It draws from behavioral approaches — which focus on patterns and actions — talk therapy, which explores experiences, thoughts, and emotions — and somatic therapy, which tunes into the body's physical response to stress, emotion, and experience. Our work together will weave all three, tailored to your specific goals and what feels most useful for you.

We begin with an intake session, where we'll discuss your current needs, relevant history, and what you're hoping to get from therapy. Before that, I encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation — a low-pressure conversation to answer logistical questions and make sure we feel like a good fit.

Follow-up sessions are where the real work unfolds. We'll spend time processing past and current experiences, building coping skills, and setting short-term goals when helpful. Beyond somatic and mindfulness work, I draw on a range of approaches to suit your needs — including reconnecting with your values, building insight into limiting beliefs, and examining the narratives you carry about yourself and the world.
