Mental health therapy refers to confidential talk therapy sessions, aimed to help people work through and with their emotions, understand and adjust behavior patterns, and cope with life's stressors.  Psychotherapy or talk therapy involves verbal processing and problem solving, and can be an effective mode of treatment for those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues.  Behavioral therapy is a part of  talk therapy where the therapist and client focus specifically on day to day actions to make lifestyle changes, or address a specific pattern of behaviors that are no longer serving that person.  Some people choose psychotherapy as an alternative to medication, or attend sessions in conjuncture with taking psychiatric medications to improve their ability to reach their health goals.

All sessions are currently taking place virtually, through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform called SimplePractice.

A Note for New Clients:
Choosing a therapist who is the right fit for you and your goals can be a challenge.  Erica offers a free 15 minute phone consultation for new clients who are considering therapy and working with her.  There is no commitment or expectation to begin sessions during this phone call.  If you are interested in a consultation to discuss common therapy practices and ask questions, please contact Erica to schedule a time.

The next step to starting regular therapy would be to schedule a new client intake evaluation.  This is a 75 minute appointment that reviews a client's history, current concerns, and goals for treatment.  Prior to the session, clients will receive electronic consent forms to sign to minimize the time spent on paperwork during the appointment.  They will also receive notifications to their phone or email with instructions on how to access the telehealth appointment on the computer or phone.

Session Rates:
New client evaluations (75 min.) - $150.00
Follow up appointments (50 min.) - $125.00
Follow up appointments (30 min.) - $65.00
Family or couples counseling (50 min.) - $150.00

Reduced payments are an option for health care workers, teachers, active military members, and those who are unemployed as a result of COVID-19.
Please contact Erica to learn more.

Payment Methods:
Debit or credit card, FSA and HSA cards, or Venmo.

Erica does not accept insurance at this time, but can provide clients with a SuperBill that the client can submit for insurance reimbursement.  A SuperBill is a statement of services paid for by the client.  If you are interested in this, please contact your insurance provider directly to understand their process of reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy:
Please contact me as soon as you know you will not be able to attend so I can open the time slot for other clients.  Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of the appointment time will be responsible to pay the full session rate.   I understand things come up and will waive fees on a case by case basis should an emergency occur.  I'm happy to move your appointment time and reschedule you for later in the week if the schedule allows.
